About me
I'm Jenna — a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and also, underneath the letters after my name, just a person who's done a fair amount of living. I'm a mother. I've rebuilt my life more than once when things didn't go to plan. And I know, from personal experience and not just training, what it actually takes to sit with discomfort and choose to do something differently.
Professionally, I have over 15 years' experience in mental health, working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and the kind of life transitions that quietly reshape who we are — pregnancy, early parenthood, separation, and everything in between.
What draws me to this work is more than qualifications. I understand first-hand what it means to break a pattern you didn't choose, to set a boundary that once felt impossible, and to rebuild a sense of self when life hasn't gone the way you expected. I don't bring my own story into sessions — that space is yours — but it's a large part of why this work matters so much to me. If you're curious, I've written a little more about my own journey on the blog.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've been coping on your own for a long time. You're not expected to have everything figured out before you start — I certainly didn't, and in many ways, still don't. That's rather the point.
Wherever you're starting from, this is a judgement-free, confidential space. You don't need the right words for what you're feeling, and you don't need to justify why you're here.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm usually keeping up with my own children and trying — with mixed success, like everyone else — to actually practise the boundaries and rest I spend my working hours encouraging in other people.
